When I became a fan of baseball 6 years ago, for some reason I was drawn to the pitchers. I love to watch how they throw the ball, the different pitches, the speeds and the tendencies of each different pitcher and how he approaches the hitters.
Roger Clemens until recently was regarded as one of the greatest pitchers of all time. With 7 CY Young awards under his belt (2 more than any other pitcher), 2 World Series rings, 354 wins and 4672 strikeouts and a career that has spanned over 24 years Roger has been a hero and idol to many. Until recently that is, when he was named in the Mitchell Report.
Since the report has come out Roger has repeatedly and vehemently denied that he has ever used any form of performance enhancing drugs. His former trainer Brian McNamee who outed Roger as a user along with Andy Pettitte and Chuck Knoblauch has stood by his story that Roger is just as guilty as the other two. But Roger has done nothing but ramble on and on about how he is innocent and how he deserves to have his name and reputation cleared. The only problem is that Roger has done nothing but contradict himself and makes me believe more and more that he is a liar. Roger wants so badly to keep his good name and to go down as one of the greatest pitchers of all time that he is willing to lie to congress under oath that he is clean as a whistle. Too many things don't add up in all of this and I would expect that when all of this is said and done the truth will come out. And that truth will tell us that Roger is a liar. Roger Clemens is as stupid as Barry Bonds and he is going to pay for it dearly.
Although perhaps we should hope this goes on a bit longer so that we can hear Roger use more great words like "misremember!" At least he is entertaining us.

Yeah, right. It's natural for a middle-aged man to double in size overnight...
