FINALLY

We can all say it... The trade ended up being:

To Seattle: LHP Erik Bedard

To Baltimore: OF Adam Jones, RP George Sherrill and pitching prospects Tillman, Mickolio and Butler

I have already blogged about all the reasons why I think this was a great trade. Sure trading Adam Jones hurts a lot, especially if he becomes the player a lot of people think he will. But the reality is, you just never know. Just as we don't know what the 3 pitching prospects we gave up will become. Giving up George Sherril hurts too. But you have to give to get. And what the Mariners just got was one of the most dominant left handed pitchers in baseball and I couldn't be happier. This trade instantly makes them a better baseball team and gives them a legitimate shot to compete in the American League West.

Baseball is in the air folks, I can feel it!!
